This position will be filled at either the 1 or 2 level, depending on the applicant's qualifications and job experience.

What you will be doing:
  • Aims to ensure fiscally responsible access to health care to Medicaid beneficiaries
  • Analyze and review financial data and billing reports to determine appropriate Medicaid rates for specific provider types, using national models and modeled methodologies
  • Interact with health care organizations
  • Establish Alaska Medicaid reimbursement rates, using accounting and critical thinking skills guided by state and federal statutes and regulations
  • Participate in committee and stakeholder engagement sessions to help design and/or revise rate-setting methodologies of health care services.

The working environment you can expect:

This position is in the Frontier Building in midtown Anchorage, a secure office space with free covered parking. While we offer a professional office environment with daily collaboration among dedicated colleagues, we also offer a hybrid work schedule (minimum of one day in the office - ORR Team is in the office on Wednesdays) along with the option of Alternate Work Week (AWW) agreements.
