Under close supervision, the Certified Medical Assistant II - Allergy Clinic is responsible for assisting providers in delivering quality health care to customer-owners and their families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creates, develops, and nurtures culturally appropriate interactions.
  • Applies customer service guidelines appropriate for the situation.
  • Assists providers in the delivery of quality health care, including taking vital signs, rooming patients, performing phlebotomy, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintains a clean work environment and reports defective equipment and safety hazards.
  • Provides feedback on the quality of care being delivered and assists in improvement efforts.
  • Ensures availability of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with other employees.
  • Acts as a mentor or train for the CMA team.
  • Works with department leadership to provide input on process improvement opportunities.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Certification from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program.
  • 2 years of Certified Medical Assistant experience.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from a recognized certifying organization.
