The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Medical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing clinical laboratory specimen processing; and provides clerical and technical support to the laboratory staff.

This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Responsibilities include clinical laboratory specimen processing and providing clerical and technical support to laboratory staff.

• High School diploma; OR GED.
• National certification as a Phlebotomist or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
• One (1) year of health care experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as an Administrative Support II at SCF.
