Overview
The Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support the administrative health care services offered through the clinic, including physical, mental, and health promotion services. This position functions within a fast paced office environment requiring compassion, confidentiality, and support of all students served through the SHCC.
Responsibilities- Excellent verbal and written communication skills adhering to federal HIPAA guidelines.
- Schedule appointments for health care related student needs.
- Work in a medical team environment, seeking assistance without hesitation.
- Operate multi‑line telephone line, fax, scan and copy machines, and computer programs.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Google applications and other computer programs.
- Complete duties as assigned.
- Medical office setting experience and understanding of computer software programs.
- Ability to listen and respond to the needs of others.
- Ability to prioritize work load and multi‑task.
- Customer service experience. Medical office experience preferred; medical billing helpful.
This is a part‑time, temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a successful candidate is identified.
