The Dietary Aide is a key member of the North Star Behavioral Health Team who ensures the delivery of healthy, desirable, and cost‑effective dietary services to patients, staff, and guests of the organization.

- Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work successfully under highly stressful conditions.
- Ability to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles.
- Capability of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis.
- Effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the essential hygiene factors involved in preparation, cleansing products and the appropriate methods of cleansing a variety of surfaces.
- Ability to read, convert, and adjust mathematical measurements for assisting in recipe adjustments.
- High School level reading and writing.
- Previous dietary experience preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents/guests.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
