Why Alaska Hand Rehabilitation Exists

For nearly 40 years, Alaska Hand Rehabilitation has helped people reclaim what matters most—the ability to work, play, create, and live fully.

We don’t measure success solely by clinical outcomes (though we’re excellent at those). We measure it by patients who feel seen, supported, and stronger—physically and emotionally—when they leave our care.

We are an employee-owned clinic, which means this isn’t just a place you work. It’s something you help build.

The Space You'll Work In

Our clinic was custom designed specifically for hand therapy, with intention behind every detail.

  • Bright, open treatment spaces filled with natural light
  • Mountain views and blue skies—even on busy days
  • Thoughtful layouts that support collaboration, efficiency, and excellent care
  • A clean, modern environment that reflects the quality of our work

This is a space designed to support focus, movement, creativity, and pride in your work.

The Kind of Team You’d Be Joining

We are intentional about our culture—not because it sounds good, but because it changes lives.

  • Values guide action. They shape how we treat patients, collaborate as clinicians, and make decisions when things get hard.
  • We win together. Open communication, shared problem-solving, and celebrating progress are part of daily life.
  • Growth is supported. Mentorship, continuing education, and clear paths forward are built into the experience.
  • Balance matters. Predictable schedules allow you to enjoy everything Alaska has to offer.

If you’re looking for belonging, excellence, and forward momentum—keep reading.

The Role | What You’ll Do Here

As a Certified Hand Therapist (or an experienced therapist actively pursuing certification), you’ll deliver thoughtful, evidence-based care for upper-extremity conditions while building trusted relationships with patients and providers.

  • You will perform comprehensive evaluations and provide high-quality, goal-driven treatment.
  • You will design individualized care plans that support long-term success.
  • You will fabricate custom orthoses and empower patients through education.
  • You will collaborate closely with skilled clinicians and referring providers.
  • You will work with physicians and surgeons across Alaska, valuing clear, timely communication to support the best possible patient outcomes.

Your clinical expertise matters here—and so does how you show up as a teammate.

A Pathway to Leadership (If You Want It)

For those who want to expand their impact, this role includes a clear pathway to a Lead Therapist position.

  • You may provide clinical leadership and mentorship to staff therapists.
  • You may help guide quality of care and professional development.
  • You may serve as a trusted voice in clinic strategy, culture, and operational improvement.

Leadership here isn’t about titles.

It’s about influence, stewardship, and raising the standard together.

What We Offer
  • Competitive pay plus sign-on bonus
  • Employee ownership (ESOP)
  • 401(k), health insurance, and comprehensive benefits
  • Generous paid time off
  • Continuing education reimbursement
  • Extra time in the day for documentation and researching for our patients
  • Ongoing coaching, mentorship, and leadership development
  • Who Thrives Here

You’ll feel at home if you hold (or are actively pursuing) your CHT credential.

    • You are a graduate of an accredited OT or PT program.
    • You care deeply about patients and take pride in your craft.
    • You communicate well, collaborate naturally, and value accountability.
    • You are open to growth—clinically, professionally, and personally.

Leadership interest is welcomed—but not required.
