Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $72,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience.

  • Incentive Bonus

    Up to 10% of salary per quarter.

Position Summary

The Mental Health Clinician (Case Manager) is responsible for the overall well-being and coordination of care for clients with complex emotional and behavioral health needs. You will be directly involved in assessing client needs, developing comprehensive strategies, and connecting clients to critical community, government, and clinical resources. Your work will involve planning health services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (social workers, doctors, psychologists), and scheduling treatment/recovery programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management
    :
    Assess individual client needs and develop tailored, impactful strategies and treatment plans.

  • Resource Coordination
    :
    Research, refer, and maintain a strong working relationship with support networks, government agencies, and community resources (e.g., health and childcare).

  • Crisis Response
    :
    Triage and assign appropriate social workers or clinical staff to respond to crisis situations involving children and vulnerable or mentally unstable adults.

  • Collaboration
    :
    Determine the correct course of action for children and adults, coordinating care with social workers, psychologists, and medical doctors.

  • Program Development
    :
    Evaluate existing services and create new programs or services to benefit clients and the broader community.

  • Advocacy & Outreach
    :
    Listen, provide advice, and actively advocate for clients; organize and influence policymakers to raise awareness and develop supportive programs and policies.

  • Administrative
    :
    Fulfill all Case Manager requirements, including the organization and management of large amounts of files, schedules, and client data.

Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

  • Licensure
    :
    Ability to become licensed or possess current licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Alaska
    .

  • Skills
    :
    Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

  • Personal Attributes
    :
    Highly organized, empathetic, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple cases. Must be self-directed and motivated to take on additional community involvement.
