Job Summary and QualificationsConduct day-to-day operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, working with the Lead and Department Director. Partner with the Exercise Physiologist and program medical director to provide high quality Cardiac Rehab services to patients.
Responsibilities- Write or obtain initial nursing histories, assess patients' conditions and develop individual care plans; maintain patient documentation.
- Notify appropriate physician regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct physician consultation.
- Demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility.
- Read telemetry strips to determine abnormal rhythms.
- Oversee medically monitored exercise programs.
- Participate in educational programs to reduce cardiac disease risk factors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Current Alaska RN license.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification.
- A minimum of one year of direct nursing experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary service lines (Cath Lab, ICU, ED, etc.).
- Prefer 3-5 years of prior Cardiac Rehab experience.
