Steese Fire Department in Alaska is seeking a Captain to provide leadership and oversee emergency response for fire, EMS, rescue, and Haz Mat incidents within Steese service areas. The role includes commanding incidents, directing driver/operators, and serving as lead medic when needed.
This non-exempt, full-time position requires certification to drive/operate department apparatus, Firefighter II, and EMS standing orders. A rotating 48/96 schedule or 8/40 schedule is typical.
