The Person nel Assistant II provides administrative and technical supportto the Human Resources team at a U.S. Army contractor site. This role supports day-to-day HR operations, including personnel record management, onboarding, timekeeping, benefits administration, and compliance with contract, company, and U.S. Army requirements. The Person nel Assistant II ensurestimelyandaccurateprocessing of HR documentation whilemaintainingconfidentiality and adherence toDoD and contractor personnel policies.

Responsibilities
  • Personnel Records & Documentation:
    • Maintainaccurateand up-to-date employee personnel filesin accordance with company policy, Army contract requirements, and regulatory standards.
    • Assistin preparing HR forms, reports, and personnel action requests (PARs).
    • Support tracking of employee assignments, rotations, leave, and contract-mandated requirements.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
    • Assistin processing new hire documentation, background checks, and in-processing requirements.
    • Coordinate with site security, IT, and supervisors to ensure smooth onboarding.
    • Support out-processing and final clearance ofdepartingemployees, including property return and exit documentation.
  • Timekeeping & Attendance:
    • Maintainaccuratetime and attendance records in compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.
    • Processleavesrequests, overtime authorizations, and shift adjustments.
    • Support supervisors and employees in resolving timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Benefits & HRSupport:
    • Provide employees with information on company policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
    • Assist HR Manager with enrollment, updates, and tracking of employee benefits programs.

    • Ensure HR documentation complies withU.S. Army contract requirements, FAR/DFARS labor clauses, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines.
    • Support audits, inspections, and government reporting requirements.
    • Assistinmaintainingpersonnel accountability records for Army contract reporting.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for HR management.
    • Schedule meetings, coordinate training sessions, andassistwith HR communications.
    • Provide support to site leadership for workforce-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of HR, administrative, or personnel support experience (military contractor or Army site preferred).
  • Familiarity with DoD or Army HR processes highly desirable.
  • HR administrative practices, personnel recordkeeping, and compliance requirements.
  • Basic understanding of labor regulations (FLSA, EEO, FMLA, and applicable FAR/DFARS clauses).
  • Experience with HRIS or timekeeping systems (Deltek, Kronos, Costpoint, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for supporting employees and leadership.
  • Must have a REAL .
  • Basicproficiencyin the English language (reading and writing).
  • Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Must be able to lift upto 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments.
  • Must also meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high, or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
  • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, periodic overtime, and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
