Training Support Lead/Exercise Planner Echelon Above Brigade (EAB) – Secret Clearance Required
GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish / maintain training and exercise networks. Achieve Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

Meaningful Work and Personal ImpactThe Training Support Lead/Exercise Planner is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Alaska Mission Training Complex (JBER MTC).
Responsibilities- Plans, coordinates, and supervises execution of individual MCIS training.
- Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes unit individual, crew, and collective training at echelons ranging from Squad to Division.
- Assists unit leadership in planning training that meets training objectives; identifies gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with unit leadership and MTC staff to fill them prior to execution.
- Plans or participates in Concept Development Conferences, Initial Planning Conferences, Mid Planning Conferences, Final Planning Conferences for Training Command assigned exercises.
- During event execution, may serve as a member of the EXCON Cell, Scenario Cell, or Observer/Trainer (Analyst Support) Cell, as required.
- Serves in a mentorship role when requested.
- Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
- Responsible for creating exercise support products (HHQ OPORDs, Annexes, and Master Scenario Events Lists (MSEL)) in support of collective training; may represent Division or higher headquarters for brigade and below training when necessary.
- Works in a highly intense IT environment and maximizes the use of the Army’s Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS).
- Provides guidance to and collaborates with the Constructive Simulations and Virtual (Games for Training) Team to meet unit training objectives.
- Updates Programs of Instruction and maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
- Education: BS/BA; U.S. Army MEL IV qualified or equivalent ILE; MEL I preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and training.
- Required Experience: Retired Field Grade Officer; 12+ years of related experience;
Joint military experience preferred. - Required Technical
Skills:
Technical expertise in the Joint Event Life Cycle; demonstrated proficiency and understanding of MC systems; expert knowledge of training program development and delivery (Army and Joint). - MDMP & Mission Command: Expert knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and experience with emerging mission command technologies (MAVEN, TAK, WINTAK).
- Security Clearance: SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain Top Secret.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to lead a planning team to create high-fidelity, realistic training events in Live, Virtual, and Constructive environments to meet customer requirements; superb presentation and communication skills; ability to educate leadership in non-technical terms on JELC requirements and training objectives.
