IT Client Support Specialist 3 (PCN 10-4122) – Anchorage, AK
The Division of Oil & Gas is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Client Support Specialist to perform a variety of line‑of‑business computer‑related duties.
Responsibilities- Deployment and maintenance of line‑of‑business Windows servers serving multiple roles.
- Software deployment and application support.
- Backup and recovery of data.
- Printer management and hardware inventory.
- Desktop‑related duties, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system malfunction analysis.
- Work independently and with team members via ticketing system; prioritize tasks based on division management.
NOTE: This position does not perform significant networking or security specialist duties.
Minimum Qualifications- Customer Service – Work with clients and customers to assess needs and resolve problems.
- Information Assurance – Knowledge of methods and procedures to protect information systems and data.
- Systems Integration – Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for installing, integrating, and optimizing information systems components.
- Technical Problem Solving – Troubleshoot, diagnose, analyze, and identify system malfunctions.
A combination of education and experience may include training and experience in installing new computers, printers, and other peripheral devices; loading and troubleshooting software and hardware systems; maintaining security software; and configuring network settings for workstations.
