SCF’s Administrator of Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides oversight of AI use across the organization under the direction of the Director of Information Technology Services and in partnership with the Medical Director of Clinical Informatics and Technology, Compliance and the IT leadership team. The role ensures that all AI technologies are reviewed prior to use, used responsibly and ethically, and monitored in alignment with established policies and procedures.

The role also provides oversight of AI programs and ensures that risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported in alignment with SCF’s Enterprise Risk Management Plan.

The role serves as a key leader in navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape and driving the effective use of emerging technologies while operationalizing their benefits and proactively mitigating and guarding against associated risks and potential harms.

SCF programs serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years of experience in at least one of the following:
  • Technology governance
  • AI policy or ethics
  • Data privacy and compliance
• Two (2) years of experience in AI domains in at least one of the following:
  • Working with Machine Learning models
  • Algorithmic risk

Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.
