Responsibilities- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
- Maintains an organization’s computer systems’ workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software
- Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues
- Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
- Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
- Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
- Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
- May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long‑term strategies
- May coach and provide guidance to less‑experienced professionals
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
- 5+ years of related experience
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
- US citizenship required
- Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
- Certifications:
CompTIA Security+ CE - Experience with complex systems architecture and design

Location:
Anchorage, AK
The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
