Network Engineer (Enterprise Infrastructure) Onsite - Manhattan, NY
Open Kyber Contract - through the end of the year Open Kyber is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support office buildouts, device configuration, and day-to-day network operations across enterprise environments. This role is heavily focused on initial device deployment, configuration, and integration , working alongside vendors and remote hands teams to bring new sites online. This is not a pure support role-we're looking for someone who can own device configuration and onboarding end-to-end .
Responsibilities:- Lead network setup for new office builds, including initial device configuration and deployment
- Configure and onboard routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
- Work with vendors and remote hands teams to execute physical installations and ensure proper setup
- Add and manage firewalls within centralized management platforms (e.g., Panorama)
- Configure and integrate Cisco switches, including onboarding into network access control systems (ISE)
- Support and manage SD-WAN environments (e.g., Meraki or similar platforms)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance and connectivity issues
- Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration standards
- 4-7+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience configuring network devices (Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Pao Alto firewalls) from the ground up
- Proven experience deploying initial configurations for new network environments
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, LACP, HSRP)
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall configuration and centralized management with Panorama
- Experience working with or managing Prisma SD-WAN technologies
- Meraki Wireless
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as packet captures
- Experience with Cisco ACI or other SDN technologies
- Experience working with or managing Prisma SD-WAN technologies
- Basic network automation (Python, APIs)
- Cloud networking exposure (AWS/Azure)
This role is ideal for a network engineer who enjoys building environments from the ground up , working hands-on with configurations, and playing a key role in bringing new locations online. You'll have ownership over deployments while collaborating with experienced teams in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
