Duties

Help

If selected for this position, you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist responsible for providing technical and analytic support to meet the information management and litigation support needs of the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO). You will support attorneys and staff by providing technology solutions for electronic evidence, case preparation, trial support, and secure information systems. The USAO IT environment includes Windows workstations, enterprise networks, litigation support applications, case management systems, and courtroom technology.

Work Assignments Include:
  • Coordinate litigation support services, including trial preparation and courtroom presentation, in response to customer needs.
  • Test, configure, install, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot litigation support hardware and software.
  • Resolve hardware, software, and system interoperability issues affecting litigation support operations.
  • Maintain the inventory and operational readiness of litigation support equipment and technology assets.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data by implementing and supporting information security policies, procedures, and technical controls.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain internet, intranet, and extranet resources that support litigation operations
  • Provide customer support, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, technical assistance, and end-user training
  • Assist with planning, policy development, and process improvements related to litigation support and information technology services.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Under the updated Competency-Based Qualification Standard for the IT Management Series (2210) , applicants must:

  • Meet or exceed all required competencies at the minimum proficiency level for the GS-9 grade(s), as described below; AND
  • Have the required specialized experience for the GS-07 and/or GS-9 grade(s), as described below.

You may be considered ineligible and removed from further consideration for the position, if you fail to meet any of the criteria above.

For The GS-7: SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

To qualify at the GS-07 level, you must possess specialized experience:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service providing information technology concepts, methods, standards and practices as they relate to automated Litigation Support functions, i.e., trial preparation and presentation; providing information technology customer service and installing and maintaining litigation support hardware and software
