Position: Sr. Manager, Enterprise and Applications (IT)

Summary

Job Description This position will provide senior leadership to the enterprise and operational applications teams within the Information Technology (IT) division. Responsibilities include developing and mentoring managers, provide overall direction and prioritization for projects and budget. Engage teams and collaborate with peers ensuring resource allocations align with the company’s mission. This position will manage project relationships with functional departments and aid in prioritization of activities required for IT involvement with external needs.

Essential

Functions
  • Accountable for overall direction, coordination, implementation, delivery, control and completion of all application development, configuration, and maintenance activities.
  • Establish initiatives and manage objectives to Chugach’s overall strategic goals.
  • Prepare and present capital and operating budgets relating to division and contracts.
  • Prepare and administer employee performance reviews. Plan for staffing, training and development of department personnel.
  • Develop, execute, and document Information Technology (IT) general controls.
  • Evaluate project performance and overall project effectiveness by developing, monitoring, and reporting metrics. Accountable for adherence to company policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in overall budget preparation with management team to identify yearly objectives, action plans and special projects affecting budgetary needs.
  • Develop, establish, and enforce standards for integrated work plans, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports to effectively manage IT portfolio.
  • Participate in contract negotiations for assigned software applications, and initiatives; and make recommendations for approval.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to leadership and the Board of Directors.

  • Understanding of regulated utility accounting procedures, budgeting processes, forecasting and strict financial controls
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has the supervisory responsibility for Application Manager and Data and Analytics Manager.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a standard office environment. Some evening and weekend work may be required occasionally. Occasional air travel is required. Attendance at Board of Directors’ meetings and conferences outside of the state may be required.

Minimum Qualifications And Experience Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, required. Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred.
