Position: IT Policy and Planning Analyst 3 (Portfolio Manager - 04-6064)

What you will be doing:

As the OIT Portfolio Manager, you will guide the Office of Information Technology's work from concept to delivery applying LEAN-based practices and maturing OIT's enterprise portfolio management approach. You will connect statewide priorities to real progress, ensuring new work is well-defined, compliant, strategically aligned, and ready for execution.

For key enterprise scaled initiatives, such as my Alaska Mobile Application improvements, you will provide hands-on support to ensure delivery of initiatives like the build out of Agentic AI empowered features that support improved citizen to government interactions.

As part of planned maturity efforts, you will support the scale out of OIT's LEAN strategic planning framework to other departments so incoming requests are clear, measurable, and anchored to statewide strategic priorities and plans.

You will accomplish all of this in partnership with Strategy & Governance section leaders, including the GRC CTO, the Strategy & Governance Manager, the Cloud Innovation & Governance Manager, the Enterprise Architect, and other OIT leaders outside the section. You will supervise an IT Policy and Planning Analyst and a Business Services Project Manager 2 to keep operational activity and value delivery execution running smoothly.

Your work ensures OIT's portfolio remains organized, transparent, cost-aware, and consistently aligned with governance priorities and statewide value delivery expectations.
