Fuel Farm Mechanic – Menzies Aviation LATAM

Operations runs 24/7 schedules based on seniority and availability.

Pay: $34.05 per hour.

The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic will be responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, inspecting and identifying defective or broken parts, and making repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

We are looking for a Fuel Farm Mechanic with proven three years (or more) of experience working on vehicles/trucks.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including pipeline issues, electrical equipment, motors, switch gear, and lighting.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment on fuel hydrant systems and other fuel vacuum vehicle related equipment.
• Investigate and adjust customer complaints/concerns regarding fuel systems maintenance.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment, statistics, equipment history, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
• Follow company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain records relating to maintenance.
• Support Quality Control and Fuel System Operators.
• Maintain attendance standards.
• Assist the Department Manager as a supervisor in his/her absence, communicating operational status and objectives to Base Management.
• Duties are commensurate with that of military Liquid Fuels Maintenance (LFM) Technician.

• 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Pass pre‑employment drug screen.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of lifting/moving 70 lbs.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must perform duties of other positions as needed.
• Must obtain and maintain required Airport Badge.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Regular exposure to outside weather, moving mechanical parts, high voltages, hydraulic pressures, loud noise, fumes, and hazardous substances. Occasional work in high, precarious places.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, and talk or hear. Must lift/move up to 25 lbs routinely and up to 70 lbs occasionally, including opening large valves on 16" pipelines.
