UAA Facilities Planning and Construction (FP&C) is responsible for planning, budgeting, contract management, space management, and construction of professionally designed buildings and facilities for the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) campus and its extended community campuses. The Project Manager will lead planning, engineering, and construction activities for FP&C, serving as an owner representative and ensuring that projects support the university’s mission and campus needs.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an owner representative, managing and administering a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Advise departments on best practices to deliver projects within budget, scope, and schedule and in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with a wide range of stakeholders, including university staff, faculty, students, and the local community.
  • Operate independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgment and decision‑making to navigate relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in planning, design, construction contract management, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a similar field.
  • Unrestricted Alaska driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred:
Master’s degree, professional registration, or certification in a related field.

UAA campus in Anchorage. Full‑time, exempt staff position with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including retirement options, paid vacation, 12 paid holidays, tuition waivers for employees and families, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. New hires are placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 82, based on education and experience.
