Job Description & How to Apply Below

Established in 2001, Satori Group is a trusted provider of environmental services, including hazardous materials remediation, environmental consulting, demolition, and health and safety training. Satori is committed to delivering responsive, innovative, and professional solutions while adhering to budget constraints and project schedules. We prioritize communication, collaboration, and exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction remains at the core of our operations. Join us to make a meaningful impact in communities and industries throughout Alaska!

The Role:

We are seeking a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Anchorage-based environmental services company. This is a leadership position for someone who brings energy, urgency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to keeping people and projects moving forward.

The General Manager will serve as the primary link between company leadership, project managers, site supervisors, field crews, and office staff. This person will begin each workday with a clear understanding of what work is underway, where employees are assigned, what materials and equipment are needed, and what issues must be resolved. The General Manager reports directly to company ownership and oversees field and office operations across multiple concurrent projects.

This is not a position for someone who wants to manage solely from behind a desk. The successful candidate will be present, approachable, decisive, and actively involved in daily operations.

The General Manager must be able to communicate expectations clearly, handle employee concerns and conflicts appropriately, and maintain accountability while treating every employee with fairness and respect.

We are seeking a proven leader who understands field operations, knows how to motivate people, solves problems quickly, and takes personal ownership of getting the work done.

Job Type: Full-time, in-office and field-based, exempt.

This position requires a consistent in-office presence by 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, to support daily crew deployment and field operations. Additional hours, regional travel, and after-hours availability may occasionally be required based on project needs.

  • Salary: $135,000+ annually
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid holidays
  • Health Insurance
  • 401(k) eligibility after one year of employment
  • Continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Cell phone stipend
Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of Satori’s daily field and office operations.
  • Be present each morning to coordinate with project managers and site supervisors and confirm that crews are properly assigned, equipped, and prepared for the day.
  • Ensure remediation work is planned and lined out in advance whenever possible.
  • Maintain clear communication between company leadership, project managers, supervisors, field employees, and administrative staff.
  • Keep employees focused, productive, and accountable throughout the workday.
  • Assist supervisors in resolving field challenges, personnel concerns, crew conflicts, and employee-performance issues.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate labor, vehicles, equipment, materials, travel, and other operational resources across multiple active projects.
  • Conduct project-site visits to evaluate progress, productivity, safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Monitor project schedules and priorities and respond quickly when plans or client needs change.
  • Troubleshoot operational problems and take ownership of implementing practical solutions.
  • Work with project managers on estimating, project planning, budgeting, cost tracking, and post-project analysis.
