The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is seeking a Emergency Program Manager 2

Serving as a member of the Airport Senior Management Team and reporting to the Division Operations Manager, this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, goals, policies, and programs for the Anchorage Airport Operations and Safety Component. The position provides leadership and oversight of airport operations, the Safety Management System (SMS) and associated security programs, and operations at both Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) and Lake Hood Seaplane Base (LHD).

The position interprets and implements applicable state and federal aviation, safety, and operational requirements and ensures airport-wide compliance with established policies, plans, and regulatory standards.

This is a senior management position responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling resources and program delivery for airport operations and safety. The position exercises substantial independent judgment in operational decision-making, safety and risk management, emergency and irregular operations, regulatory compliance, and the management of ANC and LHD operations. It also has significant supervisory authority, including responsibility for hiring, performance management, discipline, and/or adjudication of grievances involving subordinate staff.
