JOB OVERVIEWThe Communications Manager is a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. This position will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced environment. To ensure success, the Communications Manager is innovative, organized, and self‑motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external role‑players.

- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation
- Research and create content for the company website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other company publications
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up‑to‑date with relevant developments
- Manage the company’s style guide, and ensure all company documents and publications adhere to our branding
- Work with key internal role‑players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team
- Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of communications strategy development
- Content writing for all media platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Must be proficient with MS Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, 365, and Share Point
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening
- Experience in Alaska Native Corporations and government contracting preferred

WORKENVIRONMENT
The Communications Manager will primarily work in an office setting. The office environment is professional, collaborative, and conducive to focused work. The typical office amenities and equipment, including computer, phones, and other necessary tools, will be provided.
This position may require minimal travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS SEDENTARY WORKThe position involves predominantly sedentary work. Most tasks will be performed while sitting at a desk or a computer workstation.
SCREEN TIMEExtensive use of computer screens and keyboards is required. The role involves working in various software applications and may require extended periods of screen time.
LIFTING & CARRYINGThe work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
