Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with robotic and trauma experience for a day shift position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license.

• Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes surgical cases requiring advanced robotic and trauma procedures
• Uses Cerner charting system and robotic surgical equipment
• Day shifts of  or , based on unit needs
• Required to work every Saturday or Sunday with variable third shifts
• On-call duties required and floating within scope as needed
• Locals not accepted; must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• OR scrubs are provided; scrub color is navy
• No cost for parking, with parking structure available near the facility
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs

• Active Alaska RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Current BCLS certification required
• Robotic surgery experience required
• Trauma experience required
• Experience with code response, fire safety, malignant hypothermia protocols, electrosurgical equipment, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes necessary
