Position Overview

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.

The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in state practicing
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• 2+ years of inpatient Psych RN experience within the past 6 months
• Must have an ACTIVE AK RN license
• Must be open to working either day or night shift
• Full time, 3x12.5 hour shifts. Total of 37.5 hours per week.

Anchorage, Alaska – Psych RN

Exact hours are 0630‑1930 and 1830‑0730. Shifts are always block recruited after the 2 week Orientation.

• $3240 Total Travel Package weekly
• $720 Weekly Taxable Wages
• $1600 Weekly Lodging Allowance
• $890 Weekly M&I Allowance (Total weekly $3240 combined)
• Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. The total package is inclusive of taxable wages and allowances.
