We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN Circulator) to join our surgical team on the day shift. The OR Circulator RN is responsible for coordinating patient care throughout the surgical process, maintaining a sterile environment, managing surgical supplies and equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation during procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting a variety of surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee patient care in the operating room during surgical procedures
  • Maintain and enforce sterile technique and infection control standards
  • Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary staff
  • Monitor patient safety and advocate for patient needs throughout procedures
  • Accurately document surgical procedures, patient status, and perioperative care
  • Manage surgical specimens, implants, and equipment according to policy and procedure
  • Ensure proper turnover and readiness of operating rooms between cases
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • 2–5 years of experience as an OR RN Circulator
  • Experience in the following specialties:
    General Surgery, Orthopedics, Orthopedic Spine, Vascular Surgery, Urology
Preferred Qualifications
  • PALS Certification (preferred; facility will assist candidate in obtaining certification if needed)
  • AORN Membership or Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and sterile technique
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and patient safety
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to care
