Pay: $112,000-$122,000 annually
Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a respected oncology healthcare organization seeking an experienced and collaborative Nursing Manager to join their leadership team. This position plays a key role in overseeing oncology nursing services across both the Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley locations while supporting high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and staff development.
Responsibilities- Providing leadership, mentorship, and supervision to RNs and CMAs across both clinic locations
- Reviewing and improving oncology nursing programs, policies, and procedures
- Designing and overseeing nursing quality assurance initiatives
- Ensuring smooth nursing department operations and implementing process improvements
- Monitoring staffing schedules, workflows, department inventory, and supply usage
- Supporting patient education initiatives and connecting patients with supportive resources
- Assisting with development of patient navigation programs
- Participating in Safety Committee meetings, Radiation Safety meetings, ROILS, and chart rounds
- Addressing patient and staff concerns while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Partnering with leadership on recruitment, training, performance management, and operational planning
- Coaching and mentoring staff while promoting ongoing education and professional development
- Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Active, unencumbered Alaska RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Moderate Sedation certification
- Oncology certification (OCN, ACON, or CPON) or ability to obtain within two years
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a specialty clinic environment
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care
- Compliance with annual education and immunization requirements
- Leadership role within a specialty oncology clinic setting
- Frequent collaboration with physicians, therapists, and administrative leadership
- Travel between Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley clinic locations required
- Potential exposure to radiation, blood borne pathogens, and clinical materials
- Physical requirements include standing/walking throughout the day, lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive movement, and assisting patients as needed
