Registered Nurse Extended Care

Job Overview

Full‑time day shift RN at the Residential Living Center in Miles City, Montana. 12‑hour shifts with self‑scheduling and a sign‑on bonus up to $10,000.

• Identify and document resident/family learning needs and provide education based on assessment, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate or delegate discharge activities, completing transfer/discharge documents and instructions related to medications, activity, wound care and follow‑up appointments.
• Document resident/family response to education.
• Maintain working knowledge of CMS regulations so documentation supports compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare skilled and MDS criteria to support the need for care and resident status.
• Incorporate resident needs and preferences into organized, efficient delivery of care by the team.
• Supervise, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of assigned CNA staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge and technical competence in preparation and administration of medications and IVs per scope of practice and hospital policy.
• Document nursing interventions, resident response to care, and outcomes.
• Set priorities for and review the daily plan of care in collaboration with resident/family/significant other and other healthcare disciplines.
• Communicate with physicians to ensure coordination of medical and nursing plan of care.
• Communicate compassionately and effectively.

• ASN from an accredited program; BSN preferred.
• Current Montana RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Ability to read labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
• Strong verbal communication, particularly during emergencies.
• Fine motor skills for manipulating equipment and performing documentation.
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and move patients and supplies, including heavy items.
• Capacity to walk and assist with transporting patients and handling equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

  Holy Rosary Hospital, Miles City, Montana.
• Weekly hours: 36.
• Hourly rate: $34.11 – $51.73 (depending on experience).
