Job Summary

Provide professional oncology/infusion nursing care according to Oncology Nursing Society standards and Infusion Nursing Society standards.

Responsibilities
  • Administer comprehensive clinical therapeutic infusion services such as complex chemotherapy regimens, immunotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, iron and hydration therapies.
  • Perform phlebotomy and therapeutic phlebotomy services.
  • Maintain and care for vascular access devices, both central and peripheral.
  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of administration and handling of antineoplastic/hazardous drugs.
  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of hazardous medication spill management.
  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical patient lift.
  • Ability to manage high patient volumes and multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Review laboratory test results and report clinically significant results to the medical provider.
  • Perform assessments of all assigned patients prior to therapy and ongoing assessments during treatment to ensure…
