• License: Must have an active Alaska RN license in hand.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery.

  Preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse.

• Labor and Delivery Management
• Assist with high‑risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries
• Circumcision assistance and newborn care
• Neonatal resuscitation and thermoregulation
• Assessments and support for postpartum care
• Fetal monitoring using external and internal methods
• Medication administration, including magnesium sulfate therapy and Pitocin
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams

The Labor and Delivery unit handles a variety of obstetric cases, including high‑risk pregnancies. The average daily deliveries range from 7 to 14, supplemented by an influx of triage patients. This high‑volume unit consists of:

• 10 OB Triage Rooms
• 10 LDR Rooms
• 3 Operating Room Suites
• 4 PACU Rooms
