The Pediatric Hospital Medicine department is looking to hire a full time Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing culturally appropriate healthcare to the inpatient pediatric nursery and/or NICU babies within the Alaska Native Medical Center.
The NP Team has a rotating shift of 10 hour days (7:30am-5:30pm), 7 days on 7 days off, weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
Qualifications- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska.
- Current certification as a NP through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
- Pediatric Hospital Medicine:
Certification as an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). OR as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) through the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
