We’re looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) for an immediate travel opening in Anchorage, AK.
The right RN should have 1 year of experience in Wound care. Read below for more requirements.
As an RN specializing in Wound care, you will assess, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds to promote healing and prevent complications. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized wound care plans.
As an RN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Conduct thorough wound assessments including size, depth, and signs of infection
- Develop and implement wound care treatment plans based on best practices
- Perform wound cleaning, dressing changes, debridement, and other therapeutic procedures
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, care techniques, and nutrition
- Coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, and dietitians to optimize healing
- Document wound care procedures, patient responses, and outcomes accurately
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound management
- Provide guidance and training to nursing staff and aides on wound care practices
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an RN in a Wound Care setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.
RNs in Wound care should have strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to support effective patient-centered care.
