Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) with a strong background in high-risk obstetrics. The ideal candidate will possess a valid AK RN license and hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced. The RN will provide comprehensive care in the Labor & Delivery unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a Magnet-designated facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Conduct assessments and monitor maternal-fetal health using appropriate technology.
• Support and educate patients and families about childbirth and related care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• May take on charge nurse responsibilities, as needed or willing to train.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN.
• Active AK RN license required (license in hand for Auto Offer).
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPS.
• Charge experience preferred but will consider RNs willing to train.
