American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Requirements- Active Alaska (AK) RN license currently in hand is required
- Current BLS certification required
- Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of case management experience required
- Acute care hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Acute care hospital setting — a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska with 407 staffed beds
- Case Management unit
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule with shift start times ranging from 0700–0830
- Every other weekend required, or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule
- Floating required between all facilities within the state to meet patient care needs
- Charting via Epic EMR
- No on-call requirements
- Free parking on-site
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are not accepted — candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO is limited to one request of 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
