Role Overview

The registered nurse is responsible for providing and supervising safe, individualized patient care following the nursing process and Nurse Practice Act. She/He assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team and including families when appropriate. The nurse manages, delegates, and directs care delivered by colleagues and subordinates, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
• American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Assess and develop individualized care plans
• Coordinate with healthcare team and families
• Supervise and delegate tasks to colleagues
