Summary Of Role

The registered nurse is responsible for delivering and supervising safe, individualized, and quality patient care following the nursing process and Nurse Practice Act. She/He assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team and involving families as appropriate. The nurse directs, delegates, and manages care delivered by colleagues and subordinates.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
• American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate and communicate care plans with the healthcare team and families
• Supervise and delegate tasks to colleagues and support staff
