Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location:
Alaska
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will possess a permanent Alaska nursing license and have experience in both labor and delivery settings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and triage pregnant patients.
- Provide care for labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
- Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal well-being using GE fetal monitors.
- Assist with post-delivery care and maternal/newborn education.
- Participate in on-call and weekend shifts as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Active Alaska RN license.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- OR circulator experience required.
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification.
- Current NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
