American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active AK RN license and 2+ years of OR experience.

• Acute hospital setting within the Operating Room department
• 13-week assignment with day shift schedule (4x10 hours), start times varying between  and
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
• May float to like units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals nearby if needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Level II Trauma facility, Magnet-designated, and recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska

• Active AK RN license required in hand for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Copy of certifications required for consideration
• Hep B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, vascular, neurology, urology, ENT, gynecology, and trauma surgery
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Parking is free
• Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former Providence permanent staff must be separated for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year at this facility, followed by a required 6-month break before returning
• All requested RTO must be included at the time of submission, with limited flexibility for approval
• Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed
