Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized labor and delivery nursing care to obstetric patients in a hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and efficient patient experiences during childbirth and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using GE fetal monitors and other equipment.
• Perform procedures such as IUPC placement, SVE, and facilitate C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and CPN connect EMRs.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid AK RN license and at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in OR circulator skills and obstetric procedures.
• Hold current certifications: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM, NRP, ACLS, and BLS.
• Able to perform SVE, IUPC, and fetal assessments.
• Exhibit a flexible, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
