Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Emergency Department with a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 (up to 6:1 for low-acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients)
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Lucas devices, Level 1 fluid warmers, Alaris IV pumps, iStat, EPOC, and GE monitors
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Perform unit-specific procedures including splinting and breathing treatments in addition to standard ED nursing duties
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Charge RNs, Flow Coordinators, ED Techs, and Unit Secretaries across day, mid, and night shifts
- Participate in rotating weekend scheduling as required by unit needs
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of prior Emergency Department experience
- Stroke and STEMI experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC certifications required
- Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and rotating weekends
- Trauma experience in an emergency care setting
- Pediatric emergency nursing experience
- Flexible, transparent, positive, and team-oriented professional demeanor
- Work in a dynamic, high-acuity Emergency Department with a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team in a unique Alaskan setting
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week throughout the 13-week assignment, providing stability and consistency for travel clinicians
