Emergency Room Nurse

Provide urgent emergency nursing care in a hospital emergency department, ensuring patient safety, stability, and comfort. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, efficient trauma and critical care.

Assess and prioritize incoming patients based on acuity and clinical needs.

Administer emergency treatments, medications, and procedures following protocols.

Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in condition.

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Support trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric care as needed.

Hold an active AK RN license; must be current at the time of submission.

Have a minimum of 2 years of recent emergency department experience.

Demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment such as Lucas, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitors.

Possess certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC.

Show flexibility, team orientation, and strong communication skills.
