Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Travel RN Labor and Delivery

Seeking an experienced Travel RN specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide critical care and support to patients during childbirth. This role requires a dedicated professional to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate obstetric services during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive prenatal, labor, and postpartum nursing care to patients in the LDRP unit.
• Monitor fetal well-being using AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring techniques and equipment.
• Assist with various procedures including inductions, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, tubal ligations, and labor triage.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including OB surgeons and neonatal staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system and adhere to hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as newborn resuscitation and low-risk delivery interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification.
• Proven experience in labor triage, OR circulatory procedures, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Skilled in performing procedures like IUPC/FSE placement and assisting with JADA/COOKS/BAKRI placements.
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments, including patient care tech duties during low census periods.
• Strong team player with flexibility, honesty, accountability, and a driven attitude.
