American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift assignment in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

• Acute care hospital setting on a Med/Surg-Tele/Oncology unit
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Weekend coverage required, potentially more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs
• May float within scope to like units and to sister facilities as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active AK RN license required (license pending applications accepted, but license must be in hand for auto offer)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, 2 years preferred
• Oncology experience and chemo administration experience preferred but not required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and respiratory support (nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management)
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg and oncology patients in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted only at a lower bill rate; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility for standard travel rate eligibility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period, with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
