American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active AK RN license in hand and at least 2 years of OR experience.

• Operating Room department within an acute care hospital setting
• Level II Trauma Magnet facility recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• 3x12 day shifts with start times of either  or
• Weekend work required
• On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
• May float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• 1:1 patient ratio

• Active AK RN license required in hand for consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)

• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year on assignment before requiring a 6-month break to return to the same facility
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and is approved on an individual basis upon offer
