- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours (19:00 7:30). Most likely a straight Night Shift position. If clinician is needed to cover both nights and days, schedule flips every 4 weeks.
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks traveler can be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.
- Weekend Requirement: Yes every other weekend.
- On-Call Required: No.
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
This is a Labor and Delivery RN travel assignment at a high-risk OB unit within an Acute Hospital that is a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska. The unit handles OB Triage/Testing (5 10 patients), Labor and Delivery/Antepartum (7 14 patients), and features 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 LDR Rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms.
Average daily deliveries are approximately 7, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. OB Triage averages 4 5 third-trimester testing patients as well as an influx of triage patients each day.
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a high-risk OB unit.
- Float to like units within scope to meet facility needs, if needed.
- Perform charge nurse duties as required or be willing to train as charge nurse.
- Charge experience preferred, or willingness to train as charge nurse.
- Ability to float to like units within scope as needed.
- AK RN License required must have license in hand for Auto Offer (pending license accepted, but Auto Offer requires license in hand).
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- AWHONN Intermediate certification required.
- AWHONN Advanced certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- First-time travelers accepted.
