Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts are 3x12 Days, with start times varying from either  or .

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will provide exceptional nursing care in the operating room, supporting surgical teams during procedures while ensuring a safe and effective environment for patients. This role requires expertise in various surgical processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams by providing necessary instrumentation and supplies.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgeries.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards in the OR.
• Document and update patient records accurately.
• Participate in the training and orientation of new nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting.
• Current AK RN license is required for auto offer.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS and CNOR are preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
