Nursing Assistant - Providence Alaska Medical Center

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

  Full Time (3) 12-Hour Shifts per week
• Shifts:
  
  Night & Day Shift based on current needs.
• Hiring in:
  Resource Pool / Progressive Care Unit / 3W Ortho / 4N Med Surg / 5N Oncology / ICU
• Pay Range: $19.40 - $27.90 per hour
• Night shift differential: $4.00/hr
• Up to $2,500 hiring bonus for eligible full‑time external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

• Coursework/Training and Medical Terminology course or successful completion of a hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Within 30 days of hire:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification.

• Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• 6 months of health care experience.
