American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a 13-week acute hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of CVOR experience and an active AK RN license.

• Works in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of an acute care hospital
• Performs cardiovascular procedures including ASD repair, CABG, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, and TAVR
• Uses cell saver equipment
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• On-call responsibilities required, including weekend on-call
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities
• Open to block scheduling

• Active AK RN license required, strong preference for license in hand (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
• Skilled in administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management
• Knowledgeable in emergency management and fire safety protocols
• 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates if applicable

• Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travancer and must reside outside the 50-mile radius
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Refusal to float between sister facilities may result in termination of assignment
