American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active Alaska RN license and prior circulator experience in a high-acuity surgical setting.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital with 11 ORs located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses a variety of OR beds and equipment, including Xi Robotic surgical systems
• Epic EMR is used
• Schedule consists of three twelve-hour shifts, with weekend availability preferred
• On-call is required, averaging 5-6 weekday call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per 8-week sign-up period
• No floating required

• Active Alaska RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotics surgical procedures required
• Experience as a circulator required
• Experience as a Scrub preferred
• CNOR certification preferred

• Serve as a patient advocate in the circulator role while acting as a resource for the sterile field
• Typical procedures include Total Joints, multi-level spine fusions, and a variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)
• Minimal ENT, Dental, Eye, or Plastics procedures performed on this unit
• Day shift team typically includes an average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub Techs, and 5 Surgical Support Techs
• Night shift is staffed by one charge RN and one scrub tech in-house with call team backup
• Facility provides scrubs
• Ideal candidates have a positive outlook and work well with team members
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
