Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Anchorage, AK | Acute Care

Contract | 13 or 26 Weeks | Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 of 3 Major Holidays Required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a high-risk OB unit, including inductions, antepartum, and OB triage
• Manage a dynamic patient population across LDR rooms, OB triage, OR suites, and PACU within a high-volume unit averaging up to 14 patients daily
• Perform OB triage assessments for third-trimester testing patients and incoming triage volume
• Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting
• Float to like units within the hospital or affiliate locations as needed to meet facility demands
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience preferred or training may be provided

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand for offer)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
• 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Charge nurse experience in a Labor & Delivery or similar OB setting
• Experience with high-risk antepartum and OB triage patient populations
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

• Opportunity to work at a nationally recognized Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility offering a dynamic and high-acuity OB environment
• Expected 60 hours per two-week period with scrubs provided and free on-site parking
